LATINXOXO
Conceived + performed by Migguel Anggelo with a book by C. Julian Jimenéz and music and arrangements by Jaime Lozano, LatinXoxo is a musical concert exprience dancing between time and space directed + developed by SRĐA. Donning the characters of the Virgin Mary, Bizet’s Carmen and the Toreador, Migguel Anggelo wrestles with the shocking and biblical death of his father while coming to terms with his own deepest fantasties. LatinXoxo has been performed to sold out audiences at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater and the Provincetown AfterGlow Festival. The musical will have upcoming performances at the Oberon Theatre at A.R.T., Mass MoCA and the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincon Center.
LatinXoxo was adapted into a short film titled Maid in America as a part of Dixon Place + National Queer Theatre’s 2020 Criminal Queerness Festival in partnership with the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs and NYC Pride.
